Members can now purchase a new book, published by the Robert Benchley Society, that includes a rich treasure trove of written material from the historic DAC News magazines.
“The Athletic Benchley” features more than 100 essays by the great American humorist Robert Benchley that appeared in the Club magazine between 1921 and 1932 and is available at the Front Desk.
These unique hardbound books are available exclusively at the Club for $29.95. That’s $7 off the regular retail price. Paperback versions of the book can be purchased online and an e-version is expected to become available as well.
A number of Benchley’s DAC essays (several were even about Club lore) have never before been anthologized and are highly sought after by Benchley fans. |
